Washington.- Tech magnate Elon Musk posted this Tuesday on the social network X an alleged urine analysis that yields negative results for drug use in apparent response to recent accusations launched by The New York Times about his alleged substance abuse.

Musk only wrote the expression 'lol' (acronym in English for 'laughing out loud') to accompany the image. The image shows that the supposed analysis was performed in a laboratory in Austin (Texas) and yields negative results for benzodiazepines, amphetamines, ecstasy, barbiturates, buprenorphine, cocaine, ketamine, methadone, meperidine, zolpidem, opioids, PCP, oxycodone, propoxyphene, cannabinoids, tramadol, ethanol, fentanyl, and carisoprodol.

The New York Times recently accused Musk of consuming a significant amount of drugs daily, citing anonymous sources close to the magnate, allegations that the owner of Tesla and Space X has strongly denied on X. The alleged test took place on June 11, the same day Musk shared a public apology on X addressed to the U.S. President, Donald Trump. In that text, Musk assured that he "went too far" with some posts he made when he and Trump exchanged attacks on social media following their disagreement over the budget bill that the president is pushing to be approved soon by the Senate. The owner of the social network X opposes Trump's plan because he believes it continues to facilitate the waste that he himself tried to combat when he was at the head of the controversial Department of Governmental Efficiency (DOGE) until the end of last May.
