Santo Domingo. – Holding a Bible and visibly uneasy, the man accused of taking the life of his son, who was just one year and eight months old, in the Los Guandules sector was transferred this Monday to the Palace of Justice in Ciudad Nueva, where he surprised everyone by stating that he did everything by the "will of God."

When questioned about the reasons that led him to commit the crime, the defendant replied: "God, it was because of the word of God... that's what you have to do." Among incoherent phrases, he insisted that his child is now "with God" and that he accepted what happened as a divine decree.

When asked if she wanted to have more children, she answered no, because God doesn't want to. Then she reiterated that she doesn't miss her little one because he is already in heaven. "My child is with God, it was his will that I did," she declared.

During the brief interaction, the accused insisted on being taken to his residence to continue with his divine plans: a: “Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo, Los Guandules neighborhood, Ricardo Pandi, 1 Mateo pedestrian street, house number 3 blue, room two… there is my home.”

The case has generated shock in the country due to the brutality of the events and the coldness with which the father admitted the death of the infant and assures that he has love to give even to the devil.

The Public Ministry will request preventive detention as a coercive measure while the investigation into the crime that occurred in Los Guandules progresses.
