4 Haitians caught stealing cocoa on Zambrana farm sent to immigration

Sánchez Ramírez. – Three men and a woman of Haitian nationality were referred to the General Directorate of Migration (DGM) by the National Police in Cotuí, after being caught by the owner of a farm while stealing cocoa in the municipal district of Zambrana. The detainees were identified as Asner Pie, Quisiero Ledesma, Wison Estale, and Tatiana Wosen. In a video sent to this newsroom, the owner of the farm is seen berating one of the foreigners, who was holding an ear of cocoa in his hands and a sack where he presumably kept what he had stolen. According to representatives of the Neighborhood Council of the community of Guardianón, the individuals involved had been monitored for some time, but they were waiting to catch them in the act, which was finally achieved and evidenced in the audiovisual.

The four citizens were handed over to the National Police along with the evidence, and after exhausting the corresponding process, they were sent to the "General Directorate of Migration" for the procedures related to their immigration status.
