The Chamber of Accounts and ITLA sign an agreement to modernize auditing processes

Santo Domingo.– The Chamber of Accounts of the Dominican Republic (CCRD) and the Technological Institute of the Americas (ITLA) signed this Monday, September 29, an inter-institutional cooperation agreement with the aim of strengthening the technical, academic and professional skills of the staff of the auditing institution. The agreement was signed by the president of the Chamber of Accounts, Dr. Emma Polanco Melo, and the rector of ITLA, Mr. Rafael Félix García, who highlighted the relevance of this alliance as an opportunity to promote continuous training, innovation, and knowledge transfer in the technological field. The rector of ITLA assured that this agreement constitutes "a transcendental step to optimize and make the audit processes of the Accounts Chamber more efficient." Félix García highlighted that the incorporation of advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence and the use of drones, will allow for more precise, rapid, and effective supervision, automating complex tasks, reducing human errors, and obtaining real-time data.

“This opens a new era in public management, where innovation becomes a driver of responsibility and administrative efficiency,” he pointed out.

Likewise, ITLA will make available to the CCRD its academic and technological offer, which includes training programs, diplomas, specialized workshops, and access to state-of-the-art laboratories.

For her part, the president of the Chamber of Accounts, Emma Polanco Melo, emphasized that this agreement represents "a decisive commitment to guarantee the permanent training of the institution's collaborators, in a context in which technology is an essential element for transparency, efficiency and the quality of the State's audit processes".

Polanco Melo emphasized that the staff of the Chamber of Accounts is the most valuable resource to take on this challenge, ensuring that this alliance will strengthen transparency in the use of public resources and promote institutional excellence. The agreement contemplates the participation of CCRD staff in academic, technical, and certification programs offered by ITLA, as well as the execution of joint research, innovation, and technological application projects in fiscal control processes. Training and knowledge transfer initiatives aimed at digital transformation and institutional modernization will also be promoted. With this collaboration, both institutions reaffirm their commitment to strengthening public management, accountability, and transparency, contributing to a more efficient, innovative, and citizen-focused state administration.
