Santo Domingo. – The spokesperson for the National Police, Diego Pesqueira, clarified that Nelson Félix Miranda, the man who starred in the tragedy that occurred in the El Millón sector, where he murdered his wife and mother-in-law before taking his own life, is not listed as an active or retired member of the Armed Forces or the National Police, and has no registered criminal record. Pesqueira explained that the preliminary information gathered at the scene confirms that the event was an unfortunate episode of domestic violence that shocked three generations of the same family. In the residence, the victims Mayra Martínez Romero, 65 years old, and her mother Doris Romero, 86, were found, along with the lifeless body of the 79-year-old aggressor, who committed suicide using the same firearm with which he committed the crime.
