A young woman is shot in the head as she leaves a party in Argentina

A camera recorded the moment when Jazmín Ayesha González, 16 years old, was shot in the head after leaving a birthday party on Sunday morning that took place at a private residence in the Bajada Grande neighborhood, in the Argentine city of Paraná. The tragedy occurred amidst an altercation between those attending the celebration. A group of young people left on motorcycles, while another group walked behind them, throwing stones and bottles at them, as the Police detailed to local media. In a moment, someone on a motorcycle began shooting and shot Jazmín, who was a member of their own group and was a passenger on another motorcycle. According to the Police, the girl "was in the line of fire between the shooter and the other people towards whom the shots were directed".

The girl fell off the motorcycle and never regained consciousness. She underwent surgery at the San Martín Hospital, but did not survive the gunshot. Subsequently, her alleged killer also entered the same medical center with stab wounds to the body, head, and abdomen. According to the Police, after the incident, he received these aggressions in retaliation at his home. He is hospitalized with police custody, as a detainee for shooting the young woman. In addition, there are two other suspects arrested and a 9-millimeter pistol seized. The agents do not rule out the participation of another firearm.
