Economic guarantee and restrictions imposed on the brother of a military man accused of the death of a young man in Los Guandules

Santo Domingo.– Judge Ana Lee Florimón, from the Judicial Office of Permanent Attention Services of the National District, imposed this Tuesday coercive measures against César Augusto Mesa Arismendy, consisting of an economic guarantee of RD$25,000 in cash, periodic presentation before the authorities, a restraining order from the alleged victim and a provision of mutual respect. César Augusto Mesa Arismendy is the brother of the major of the Dominican Republic Army, Diego Geraldo Mesa Arismendy, who is currently in pre-trial detention for his alleged connection to the death of the young Perla Jokasta Santos, 19 years old, which occurred on the morning of December 26, 2025, in the Los Guandules sector of the National District, after being shot. The defendant was arrested by court order when he appeared at the New City Courthouse to attend his brother's coercion measure hearing.
