Vice Minister highlights President Abinader's presence at global forum, boosts Meta RD 2036

The Vice Minister of Coordination and Monitoring of the Government, Luis Madera Sued, assessed the progress made by the Dominican Republic within the framework of the World Governments Summit, highlighting that the presence of President Luis Abinader in this global forum has allowed to strengthen strategic alliances aimed at accelerating the productive transformation of the country and substantially improving the quality of public services.

Madera Sued pointed out that the official delegation accompanies the Dominican president in a high-level agenda that has served to promote the RD 2036 Goal, which aims to double the Gross Domestic Product with higher quality, sustained and inclusive growth.

"We are accompanying our president of the Republic, Luis Abinader, at this World Governments Summit, a space that we have taken advantage of to continue promoting our Meta RD 2036 of doubling the Gross Domestic Product with higher quality growth," said the vice minister.

He explained that for more than a year the Dominican government has been working jointly with the Government of the United Arab Emirates in the design and execution of projects aimed at raising the efficiency of the State and optimizing the provision of public services.

Among the initiatives under development, Madera Sued highlighted the implementation of a public policy acceleration laboratory, inspired by the 100-day challenge model; the application of the methodology to improve the quality of citizen care; the use of artificial intelligence in regulatory processes; and the strengthening of reporting and data analysis systems.

He indicated that these tools will allow for the offering of more agile, efficient, and people-centered public services, with a direct impact on priority areas such as education, health, business modernization, and government management.

He also reported that bilateral agreements are being advanced for the modernization of specific services related to transportation and immigration processes for entry and exit from the territory, with the aim of reducing bureaucracy, increasing institutional agility, and creating better conditions for economic development.

"With the support of the Government of the United Arab Emirates, we are going to promote a greater modernization of public services, which will translate into less bureaucracy, greater agility and, therefore, a key lever for economic growth," he said.

The Vice Minister stated that the Dominican Republic's participation in the World Governments Summit strengthens the country's capacity to incorporate better international practices and move towards a more innovative, efficient public management model aligned with the national development goals promoted by President Abinader.
