Montecristi, DR. – Members of the Dominican Republic Army (ERD), detained 17 Haitian nationals in irregular migratory condition, who were in an abandoned house in Guayubín, Montecristi province.
An ERD patrol, assigned to the Mangá detachment, found the undocumented foreigners who were hiding to evade military controls.

Among those arrested are 14 men and 3 women, who were transferred to the aforementioned detachment and later sent to the headquarters of the 4th Infantry Brigade of the ERD, for the corresponding legal purposes. The military institution reiterated that these operations are carried out in strict compliance with the provisions of the General Commander of the Army, within the framework of interdiction actions, citizen security and the fight against illicit activities in the border area.
