Santo Domingo.– At the ceremony commemorating the 17th anniversary of the National Institute of Teacher Welfare (INABIMA), it was announced that more than 26,000 pensioners and retirees have received salary increases and indexations, representing an amount exceeding RD$1,775 million annually.
They announced that by strengthening the Pension and Retirement System, the Government has incorporated five new decrees that have benefited 11,425 teachers, two of them approved during 2025.

During the ceremony, the director of the institution, Rafael Pimentel Pimentel, highlighted the achievements in pensions, quality of life, and institutional strengthening, assuring that INABIMA "has consolidated its role as guarantor of the well-being of Dominican teachers."
"Each anniversary represents not only a celebration, but also an opportunity to reflect, evaluate achievements and project future challenges. We are proud to serve the teaching profession with dedication, efficiency and humanity," said Pimentel.
These actions, along with sustainable investments in competitive financial instruments, guarantee the stability of the Pension and Retirement Fund.
Commitment to Teacher Well-being
In the social sphere, the institution inaugurated a new Service Center in Baní, Peravia province, with dental care and other complementary services for teachers and their families.
User satisfaction reached 93% in 2025, a result of the effort to improve quality and speed in services such as Survival, Funeral Insurance and Dignified Master Loan.
