SANTO DOMINGO, RD.– In the framework of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UN), President Luis Abinader will participate in a varied agenda that includes international forums, bilateral meetings, meetings with business leaders, and the reception offered by the President of the United States, Donald Trump.
The president reported the details during his meeting with La Semanal con la Prensa, held this Monday at the government house.
Monday, September 22, 2025: Upon his arrival in New York, Abinader will attend a dinner with investors.

Tuesday, September 23, 2025: The day will begin with the opening of the General Debate of the UN General Assembly, where Secretary-General António Guterres, and the presidents of the United States, Donald Trump, and Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula Da Silva, among others, will speak. Subsequently, he will hold bilateral meetings with King Abdullah II of Jordan and with Qu Dongyu, Executive Director of FAO. During the rest of the day, the president will meet with executives from the Council of the Americas and with Andrés Gluski, CEO of AES Global Energy, and will participate in a meeting organized by the Atlantic Council with business leaders and global investors, where he will address the promotion of economic growth in Latin America and the Caribbean. Later, he will attend the reception offered by Donald Trump to the heads of State and Government present at the General Assembly, and will end the day with a dinner with Ibero-American entrepreneurs convened by CEAPI and the Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom.Wednesday, September 24, 2025: Abinader will begin his agenda at the 2025 Concordia Annual Summit, where he will be interviewed on global economics, democracy, security, human rights, and technological innovation. Subsequently, he will hold a bilateral meeting with the United States Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, and will deliver his address to the General Assembly, outlining the Dominican Republic's position on the main global challenges.
After concluding his participation in the UN, President Abinader will return to the country on Wednesday, September 24th.
