Santiago. – President Luis Abinader reported this Monday that the blackouts affecting the country are due to a technical delay in the entry of 600 megawatts to the electrical system, but guaranteed that the situation will normalize in approximately one month.
During LA Semanal in Santiago, the president explained that these blackouts also impact the government and that the megawatts should have entered between May and August, but were delayed due to technical inconveniences in the scheduled generation. You may be interested in: http://RD ascends to category 2 in the US report on human trafficking, Abinader announces
“They are blackouts that we, the government, suffer the most for multiple reasons; there are 600 megawatts that should have entered between May and August and still haven't entered due to technical problems… We think that in about a month we are going to stabilize,” Abinader declared. The president took the opportunity to announce new tenders to incorporate an additional 1,600 megawatts to the electrical system and announced that long-term projects will be implemented to strengthen national generation, with the aim of guaranteeing a stable and reliable supply for the entire population.
