Santo Domingo Este. – President Luis Abinader led a new delivery of apartments in Santo Domingo Este, which now add to the more than 20 thousand homes delivered in five years of management, contributing significantly to the reduction of the housing deficit in the country.
On this occasion, 488 people become owners of their apartments, located in the Ciudad Real Ecológica Residential, SDE, significantly improving their quality of life.

The Minister of Housing and Buildings (MIVED), Carlos Bonilla, expressed that these 488 apartments "are part of a large project of 2,024 housing units" that were designed to offer well-being, security, stability, opportunities, and hope. He also highlighted that more than 65% of the beneficiary families are headed by women, and 46% are young people between 18 and 35 years old, "which shows that these housing plans are also building a future for a new generation." A total of 1,188 homes have been delivered out of 2,024.In his address, the CEO of Banco de Reservas, Leonardo Aguilera, stated that of the 2,024 units that make up this project, the government has already completed 1,118, delivering the first 700 homes in October 2024.
Each one has 63 square meters, three rooms, a bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, balcony, laundry area, a parking space, bike path, roundabout, and playgrounds for children. In addition, nearby there are educational centers, main roads, pharmacies, supermarkets, and a diagnostic and primary care center. The total investment amounts to RD$1.202 billion, of which RD$788 million corresponds to private contribution and RD$414 million to public subsidy.
