Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader will take the Government Contigo program to Higüey, La Altagracia, this Saturday to get closer to citizens, learn about their needs and launch programs that promote productive development, social welfare and infrastructure improvement, his office said this Friday.
The activity will include various actions in key sectors of the city, ranging from paving programs and infrastructure improvements to social inclusion days and direct support for local producers, with the aim of positively impacting the lives of residents.You may be interested in: President of the Republic Luis Abinader
The president’s schedule will begin at 12:00 noon with a visit to the paving program in the Los Morales sector, where he will supervise the improvement work on the streets and public roads. This activity reflects the government’s commitment to urban development and the improvement of mobility in the different neighborhoods, ensuring that communities have safer and more functional infrastructures, said the Presidency. Subsequently, the ruler will move to the Juan Pablo Duarte High School, in the Los Soto Sector, to participate in the Social Inclusion Day developed by the General Directorate of Strategic and Special Projects of the Presidency (Propeep), where programs aimed at facilitating access to basic services and opportunities for vulnerable groups are promoted. Likewise, the president will visit a sales outlet of the Price Stabilization Institute (Inespre) in the La Aviación Sector, with the purpose of supervising the distribution of food at affordable prices for citizens. The agenda will culminate with an assembly with the community members at the Leo Tavárez Sports Center, a space where the president will dialogue directly with the residents of the different sectors, listen to their concerns, and present the programs and projects that the government is implementing in the province.
