Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader will leave tomorrow, Wednesday, for Guyana and will return in the afternoon, to participate in the inaugural act of the Global Biodiversity Alliance, an international initiative aimed at addressing the environmental and climate crisis through global cooperation.
The constitutional act to which heads of state, governments, multilateral organizations, the private sector, academies, indigenous communities, and civil society have been invited will take place in Georgetown, Guyana, from the 23rd to the 25th of this month. It is an initiative that will mark a new milestone in international action against the current environmental and climate crisis.

In this event, the Dominican Republic, through President Luis Abinader, will project its regional and global leadership in the defense of biodiversity as a strategic asset for well-being, resilience, and sustainable economic growth. The Alliance will be made up of leaders from governments, multilateral organizations, private sector entities, academic centers, scientific organizations, local and indigenous communities, and civil society actors, who will work together to promote concrete and measurable solutions that promote the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity as a pillar of global development. President Abinader will have an intervention during the launch of the Global Biodiversity Alliance.
