Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader travels to the Cooperative Republic of Guyana to participate in the opening ceremony of the Global Biodiversity Alliance.
The president left at 7:29 a.m. from the San Isidro Air Base, where he was seen off by the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Carlos Fernández Onofre; the general commander of the Dominican Republic Air Force, Major General Pilot Floreal T. Suárez Martínez and the commanders of the Presidential Guard, Brigadier General Guillermo Caro Cruz, and of the Honor Guard Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel Paula Fernández Jiménez.

Upon his arrival in the South American country, the president will give a speech during the launch of the Global Biodiversity Alliance. In this event, the Dominican Republic, through President Luis Abinader, will project its regional and global leadership in the defense of biodiversity as a strategic asset for well-being, resilience, and sustainable economic growth. The event will take place in Georgetown, the capital of Guyana, and will be attended by heads of state, multilateral organizations, private sector entities, academic centers, scientific organizations, local and indigenous communities, and civil society actors, who will work together to promote concrete and measurable solutions that promote the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity as a pillar of global development.
