During the meeting, the president of ADOU presented the scope of the Dominican Republic Academic Destination Project, an initiative aimed at organizing and promoting, at an international level, the wide and diverse academic offer of Dominican higher education institutions. “We are focused on continuing to strengthen academic ties with the Dominican diaspora and facilitate access to organized and reliable information on technical, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs offered by universities in the country. More than 2.39 million Dominicans currently live in the United States, according to data from the Sociodemographic Registry of INDEX 2024-2025, which demonstrates the dimension and potential of this community to strengthen academic ties with the nation,” said the president of ADOU. He also indicated that the Dominican Republic Academic Destination Catalog is available in digital format at www.adou.edu.do/destino, where those interested can consult the academic offer and establish contact with the Dominican university guild.
