AES plant output causes deficit in electricity distributors

Santo Domingo. – An “event” on a transmission line that affected several generating plants of AES Dominicana caused a temporary deficit in the energy supply this Tuesday, impacting multiple circuits of the electricity distribution companies. According to reports, the distributors Edesur, Edenorte and Edeeste experienced service interruptions, which generated complaints among users from different areas of the country. However, after 1:00 p.m., the situation was normalized. The distribution companies reported that the incident is already being overcome and extended apologies to customers for the inconvenience caused. In addition, they thanked users for their understanding in the face of this unforeseen technical issue.
