Sosúa, Puerto Plata. – After more than 30 years of waiting, joy arrived in Valedor. This Sunday the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, inaugurated the asphalting of several streets in the community of Sosúa, a project that covers 4.35 kilometers and an investment of more than 95 million pesos.
The project ends decades of claims from residents, who say this transformation will mark a before and after in their daily lives.

"Very happy, more than an achievement, getting that asphalt here is something wonderful, we are going to walk clean now," Fermín expressed excitedly, remembering the difficulties the children faced when going to school "with their little feet muddy." For her part, Yarielis expressed gratitude and highlighted that now "we can say that we are traveling on good streets, because before we couldn't. I don't live in this neighborhood, but in mine there is also an asphalt project and we hope to God that it arrives." For Ricardo Marmolejo García, the work is "a blessing from Minister David Collado", while Francisco Cruz recalled that before the road was impassable and today represents a historic change for the community. With this intervention, the Ministry of Tourism not only improves mobility in Valedor, but also boosts the economic and tourism development of Sosúa, consolidating the commitment to bring concrete solutions to the communities.
