Alma Rosa residents denounce they are screaming due to long power outages

Santo Domingo Este. – Residents of the Alma Rosa sector denounced this Tuesday that they are “crying out” due to the constant and prolonged power outages that are recorded in the area. They explained that the power outages last for hours and sometimes extend for a large part of the day, affecting daily life and commercial activities.

Community members pointed out that, in addition to damaging appliances, the blackouts put the safety of the streets at risk, as they are left in the dark during the night. "We are desperate, we don't know what to do. Here the power goes out at any time and comes back whenever it wants," said a resident of the area. Authorities and the electricity distribution company were asked to take urgent measures to restore the service in a stable manner and guarantee citizens' right to a reliable energy supply.
