Puerto de Río Haina, SDO.– The Dominican Port Authority (APORDOM) and the Specialized Port Security Corps (CESEP) delivered the certification of the Port Facility Compliance Declaration (DCIP) to the Port of Manzanillo, located in the municipality of Pepillo Salcedo, Montecristi province.
The CEO of APORDOM, Jean Luis Rodríguez, along with the general director of CESEP, Rear Admiral ARD Segundo Ventura García, led the certification act, which highlighted that this accreditation confirms that the terminal complies with national and international standards in terms of port security and protection.You may be interested in: http://CNSS detalla cobertura de alto costo del Régimen Subsidiado
Rodríguez pointed out that each compliance statement granted represents a significant step forward for the national port system, as it strengthens the security of the infrastructures and ensures compliance with current regulations. Likewise, he reaffirmed APORDOM's support for CESEP to continue raising its operational capacity.
From his side, Rear Admiral Ventura García expressed that the certification confirms that the terminal complies with the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS), and valued the commitment of the company Offshore Terminal Manzanillo Energy in welcoming the technical recommendations made. The certification, issued through Declaration No. 001-2026, is granted in accordance with Chapter XI-2 of the SOLAS Convention and Part A of the ISPS Code, after verifying the implementation of a Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP) approved for operations involving liquefied natural gas (LNG) tankers. The document will be valid until March 3, 2031, subject to the corresponding verifications.
