Army seizes about 19 pounds of alleged marijuana abandoned by undocumented Haitian immigrants in Dajabón

Dajabón, RD. – A patrol of the Dominican Republic Army seized 19.7 pounds of a plant, presumably marijuana, during an operation carried out in the community of Los Miches, province Dajabón. The military patrol called for a group of five Haitian nationals in irregular migratory status to stop, who fled in the dark, leaving behind two backpacks, inside which the vegetable was found.

The alleged marijuana will be delivered to the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) through official certification, in order to exhaust the corresponding legal process.
