Authorities investigate the discovery of a lifeless person in the community of Salcedo

Salcedo, Hermanas Mirabal province. – Police and judicial authorities initiated an investigation this Saturday after the discovery of a person with no vital signs in the Alto de Tony Jao community, La Mercedes sector, Salcedo municipality. The operation was led by members of the National Police, assigned to the Salcedo Department and directed by Colonel René E. Luna Kunhardt, in coordination with agents from the Criminal Investigations Department (Dicrim) and Dintel.

Brigades from Civil Defense, the Fire Department, and the medical examiner also attended the scene, who carried out the body’s removal following the corresponding protocols. The prosecutor of Hermanas Mirabal province, Claudia Román, appeared at the scene and gave statements to the press, confirming the beginning of the investigations to clarify the circumstances of the event. Authorities assured that they are working together to determine the causes of death and establish possible responsibilities, reiterating their commitment to transparency, order, and justice for the benefit of the citizenry.
