Santo Domingo.– In the framework of the Third United Nations Conference on the Oceans, the wife of the French president, Brigitte Macron, and the Dominican first lady, Raquel Arbaje, shared a relaxed evening that sowed the seeds of a cordial and genuine friendship. In that sense, President Luis Abinader said this Monday in LA Semanal that both ladies became “very good friends” during their stay in France.

“Raquel became very friendly with Brigitte Macron”, stated the head of state.

The occasion was an elegant gala dinner on the night of June 8th at the iconic Hotel Negresco in Nice, organized by Emmanuel Macron in honor of leaders from more than 100 countries In that atmosphere of etiquette and diplomacy, Arbaje accompanied her husband, President Abinader, while both first ladies exchanged smiles, kind gestures, and affable conversation.
