Chanel Rosa Chupany makes her finances public after questions about the Senasa scandal

Santo Domingo.– The former director of the National Health Insurance (Senasa), Chanel Mateo Rosa Chupany, responded to the accusations of alleged illicit enrichment during his management by publishing details of his personal finances on social media. Rosa Chupany shared screenshots of her accounts and debts, where she reported having RD$1.6 million in savings, outstanding balances on credit cards for about RD$121 thousand, and an outstanding loan of RD$1.6 million. “I am posting this for those who are more interested in destroying reputations than in seeking the truth. I have nothing to hide,” he stated. The former official said he was a victim of "systematic defamation" and reiterated his willingness to have his financial history investigated. His management of Senasa has been recognized as one of the most efficient since the creation of the institution, even by adverse political sectors.
