Santo Domingo.– The intense rains of the last few days, caused by an active tropical wave and a trough, have left a balance of 2,555 people displaced, 511 damaged homes and 26 people in shelters, according to the most recent bulletin of the Emergency Operations Center (COE).

In terms of potable water, the National Institute of Potable Water and Sewers (Inapa) reported 32 aqueducts out of service and one partially affected, which has left 602,666 users without supply. For its part, the Santo Domingo Aqueduct and Sewer Corporation (Caasd) reported that the Isa Mana and Duey 1 systems were impacted, affecting 404,978 inhabitants of the National District and Santo Domingo province.Damages by provinces
- San José de Ocoa: landslide interrupted the main road, then restored.
- San Pedro de Macorís: tree collapsed at km 72 of the Autovía del Este.
- Monseñor Nouel: tree fell on the Duarte highway, km 65.
- Independencia: flood swept away a sewer in Boca de Cachón.
- San Juan: overflow of the San Juan River left Sabana Alta and Guanito isolated.
- Azua: 800 people displaced and 160 homes flooded in Los Negros.
