Brussels, Belgium. – During an interparliamentary meeting between the European Parliament and the Congress of the Dominican Republic, the president of the Industry and Commerce Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, Charlie Mariotti Paz, urged the countries of CARIFORUM and the European Union to redouble their commitment to the economic development of the region, eliminating the trade barriers that limit the export of products from micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
The legislator highlighted the need to create more equitable conditions that allow entrepreneurs and small producers to enter the European market more easily, which would contribute to diversifying the exportable supply of the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean.
