Yamasá, Monte Plata.– With the presence of local authorities, community leaders and government representatives, the first groundbreaking for the construction of the new municipal market of Yamasá took place this Friday, a work long awaited by the population. The event was headed by the provincial governor of Monte Plata, Lic. Rafaela Javier Gomera, and the municipal mayor, Ing. Cruzdeivy De Los Santos. During her speech, the governor highlighted that this initiative responds to the government's commitment to the development of rural communities, while reaffirming her support for projects that promote collective well-being. "The women and men of the countryside will have a dignified space to market their products. This work is the result of the working meetings we have been holding in the province, where real needs are identified and transformed into concrete solutions," said Javier Gomera. Mayor Cruzdeivy De Los Santos described the work as a dream come true for the municipality of Yamasá. He thanked the central government for its support and recognized the governor as a key ally in making this project a reality. "It wasn't easy, but perseverance brought us here. The president promised it and today he is fulfilling with Yamasá," said De Los Santos.
