Punta Cana.– This Thursday morning officially marked the inauguration of the twenty-fifth edition of the Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange (DATE 2025), in an event led by the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, along with the president and vice president of the Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic (Asonahores), Juan Bancalari and Aguie Lendor.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony, which marks the formal beginning of this important event, took place at the convention center where the fair is being held, in Punta Cana, with the presence of prominent business people and representatives of the national and international hotel sector.
During the opening ceremony, the role of DATE was highlighted as a key platform for the promotion of the Dominican Republic’s tourism offerings, as well as for strengthening commercial relations between the sector’s players. The fair will be held until May 16, with an agenda that includes business rounds, panels, and networking activities among tour operators, travel agencies, hotel chains, and tourism authorities.

Minister David Collado expressed his satisfaction with the realization of this new edition, highlighting the sustained growth of tourism in the country and the government’s commitment to the development of the sector.
