Santo Domingo. – Deputy Vicente Sánchez Henríquez, president of the Permanent Commission on Information Technology and Communication of the Chamber of Deputies, received this Tuesday the visit of a delegation of parliamentarians from the United Kingdom, headed by Jessica Morden.
Where topics related to technological advancement, digital transformation, and the strengthening of parliamentary ties between both nations were addressed.
Deputy Sánchez Henríquez highlighted the importance of promoting international cooperation in technological matters, noting that innovation and digitalization are fundamental pillars for institutional development and the strengthening of transparency in public processes.
Likewise, British parliamentarians expressed their interest in sharing experiences and good legislative practices in technology, digital education, and cybersecurity, with a view to promoting joint initiatives that benefit both peoples.
