Members of the Central Investigation Directorate (Dicrim) of the National Police arrested 113 people in the last 24 hours during simultaneous operations carried out in different provinces of the country, for crimes including robbery, armed assault, attempted homicide, and drug possession.
In Pedernales, Jefry Pie (a) Toto, 20 years old and of Haitian nationality, was arrested by court order, accused of stealing a computer, a cell phone, a backpack and a wallet with 30 thousand pesos from a citizen, after breaking into the door of her residence while she was sleeping with her minor son.

In Barahona, agents arrested Rainel Corniel Lebrón (a) Ra, 35 years old, against whom an arrest warrant was pending for his alleged participation in the theft of 17 goats, 12 of them pregnant. Also, in the National District, the Venezuelan Julio Osmel López Cornielle (a) Julito, 35 years old, was arrested, accused of stripping a citizen of a gold ring valued at thousands of pesos in front of a commercial establishment on Tiradentes Avenue, in Ensanche Naco. The object was recovered after the voluntary surrender of the detainee. Also arrested was Noel Arias Rivera, 36 years old, accused of attempting to steal a roll of electro-welded mesh from a residence in the Jardines del Sur sector, a fact that was reported by the owner. In another case, which occurred in the 24 de Abril sector, a 17-year-old minor was arrested after stripping a citizen of his wallet and personal documents while jogging on the public road. The young man was referred to the Prosecutor's Office for Children and Adolescents of Villa Juana. Similarly, at kilometer 9 of the Duarte Highway, Alexander López Brito (a) Viviré de Mancha or El Manchao, 30 years old, was captured, accused of stealing the electrical wiring from three air conditioners in a house. The detainee was identified through surveillance cameras and confessed to having burned and sold the stolen material. Finally, in Gaspar Hernández (Espaillat), Ramírez Flete Vargas (a) Anyelo, 38 years old, was arrested, accused of stealing a Z3000 motorcycle. During his detention, the authorities recovered another motorcycle to which the individual had installed parts from the stolen vehicle.
