Santiago. – Remains under medical observation in a health center in Santiago de los Caballeros, one of the two agents of the General Directorate of Traffic and Ground Transportation Safety (Digesett) who were injured during an altercation with a woman and two men, following an inspection for illegal parking in the vicinity of the Cibao International Airport.
The most affected agent was identified as Lieutenant Lowis Blanco Then Pan, who suffered injuries to the face, neck, and back, allegedly caused by a scalpel by the woman involved in the incident. Corporal Alexander Staling de los Santos was also injured, according to the legal consultant of Digesett, Valentín Oviedo.

According to the official version, the conflict originated when one of the agents asked the occupants of a badly parked vehicle to hand over their documents to proceed with the corresponding inspection. At that moment, the situation escalated to a physical assault, in which the woman allegedly attacked one of the agents with a scalpel, causing a visible wound on his face. In the midst of the struggle, the agent reacted and struck her in the face with the handle of his service weapon. The confrontation intensified when several men accompanying the woman intervened, engaging in a physical altercation with the officers and airport security personnel who were trying to control the disturbance. Prior to the incident, the woman had shared a video on social media in which she is seen hurling insults at the officers who ticketed her, material that later went viral on digital platforms. The event occurred on the afternoon of March 10th and has gained notoriety in the last few hours following the circulation of videos recorded by witnesses with cell phones. So far, authorities have not provided details on possible judicial proceedings against those involved in the altercation.
