Santo Domingo.- Dozens of neighborhoods and residential areas will be affected by the interruption of the electricity service tomorrow Friday, due to work that the Office for the Reordering of Transportation (OPRET) will carry out in the construction work of Line 1B of the Santo Domingo Metro.

The Eastern Electricity Distribution Company (Edeeste) released the information this Thursday.

Line 1B of the Metro will add two more stations to the train that provides service to the Villa Mella sector.

The measure will impact numerous sectors, including: Rincón, Los Mameyes, Limonal, Amor de Dios, El Naco, Alto del Chivo, Higüero, Mancebo, Los Tablones, El Cajuilito, Villa de la Seguridad Ciudadana, Mata San Juan, Mata Gorda, Maricao, Mal Nombríto, Paraíso Escondido, Villa Esperanza, Canaán II, Canaán, La Paz, Las Flores, La Esperanza, Urbanización San Felipe, Batey de Yagua, Vietnam, Progreso y Libertad, among others.

Likewise, neighborhoods and housing projects such as Villa Martina, Jardines del Remanso, Luz y Vida, Los Arquenos, Carlos Álvarez, Marañón II, El Fundo, Paraíso, Altos del Paraíso, Proyecto Prof. Juan Bosch, Proyecto Villa Isabela, Nueva Isabela, Batey Estrella, Vieja Habana, Galindo, Marañón II Villa Mella, Villa de los Milagros and Vista Bella will be affected.
