Santo Domingo, R.D. – The Empresa Distribuidora de Electricidad del Sur (Edesur) reported that this Thursday a scheduled interruption of the electrical service will be carried out in various sectors of Greater Santo Domingo and the municipality of Bajos de Haina, due to preventive maintenance work at the Herrera Operations Center substation.
The power outage will take place from 9:00 in the morning to 1:00 in the afternoon, affecting communities such as Barrio Presidente Antonio Guzmán, Barrio San Martín, Los Químicos, El Café de Herrera, Loma del Chivo, Barrio Paraíso, Residencial José Contreras, Honduras del Norte, El Pedregal, Residencial Don Oscar, Costa Criolla, Residencial Santo Domingo, El Abanico de Herrera, Ensanche Altagracia, Emgobe, El Palmar, Residencial Casas Reales, Residencial Sandra, Mar Caribe, Costa Verde, Costa Azul, Mirador del Oeste, Barrio Nuevo in Haina Oriental, Manresa, Barrio El Castillo, Quita Sueño, among others.

Edesur highlighted that these tasks are part of the preventive maintenance plan that seeks to strengthen the quality and stability of the electrical service, with the purpose of guaranteeing a safer and more reliable supply for its customers. The company apologized for the inconvenience that this suspension may cause and urged users to take the necessary measures while the technical work is carried out.
