Edesur Dominicana reports the dismissal of a brigadier accused of stealing wiring

Santo Domingo.- Edesur Dominicana reported the dismissal of a member of a contracting brigade caught on video while allegedly stealing the wiring that supplies electricity to a commercial establishment in the El Vergel sector of the National District. The electricity distribution company stated that as soon as it received the complaint, an investigation was initiated to determine the reality of what happened and take the appropriate corrective measures.

The images and videos analyzed allowed the identification of the intervention of a technician belonging to a contracting brigade that, on that date, was carrying out reconnection work in the area. Edesur Dominicana reiterates that it does not tolerate behaviors contrary to ethics, legality, or the principles governing the provision of the public electricity service, and that it demands from all its contractors and associated personnel strict compliance with the established rules and procedures. The company reaffirms its commitment to good practices and the continuous improvement of the electrical service, as well as the adoption of the necessary corrective actions whenever actions that deviate from these guidelines are identified.
