Santiago.– With record attendance and intense commercial activity over five days, Expo Amaprosan 2026 concluded yesterday, Sunday, consolidating itself as the most important multisectoral fair in the Cibao region and one of the main business showcases in the Dominican Republic, by bringing together thousands of visitors and more than 120 national companies at the Central Park of Santiago.

The 35th edition, developed under the theme “Commerce, Industry and Society: Pillars of Development”, exceeded the number of attendees registered last year, generated new investment opportunities, strengthened commercial alliances and reaffirmed Santiago’s role as one of the country’s main economic hubs.

The event, inaugurated last Wednesday with the presence of President Luis Abinader, brought together business owners, merchants, entrepreneurs, and public and private institutions, who presented products, services, and innovations in sectors such as food, beverages, appliances, telecommunications, health, beauty, household items, agribusiness, handicrafts, and mass consumption.

The president of the Association of Provision Wholesalers of Santiago (AMAPROSAN), Hilsa López Olivares, together with the president of the Fair Committee, Julio César Pérez Mata, highlighted that the massive support from exhibitors, sponsors, authorities, and visitors allowed for the conclusion of one of the most successful editions in the event’s history, making it an important engine for boosting the regional economy.

During the day, entities such as IDOPPRIL, the Santiago City Hall, the Provincial Governor’s Office, CORAASAN, INESPRE, INTABACO, the Santiago Senatorial Office, and the José María Cabral y Báez Regional University Hospital also participated, in addition to banks, cooperatives, telecommunications companies, and state agencies that brought their programs and services closer to the public.

The automotive sector had a prominent presence with companies such as Antonio Ochoa, Espaillat Motors, and other vehicle and motorcycle dealerships, which offered attractive financing facilities and exclusive deals for attendees.

As one of the main new features, the fair debuted an Ecological Pavilion, developed together with the Cibao Ecological Society (SOECI), focused on promoting environmental education, recycling, and the conservation of natural resources.

In addition to commercial activity, Expo Amaprosan offered conferences, exhibitions, gastronomic displays, children’s activities, mechanical rides, a zip line, cultural shows, and artistic performances, consolidating itself as a space for business, family integration, and entertainment.

The 2026 edition was dedicated to Grupo BOCEL, in recognition of its trajectory and contributions to the development of Dominican commerce and industry. The company accompanied the fair with special promotions, gifts, and activities aimed at the public, closing an edition that once again positioned Expo Amaprosan as the largest commercial showcase in the Cibao region.
