Santiago.- Relatives of Leandro Antonio Hernández, a resident of the Hato Mayor sector of the province of Santiago, demanded this Monday that the authorities reactivate the search for their relative, who has been missing since June 9, 2024, without any information about his whereabouts being known so far.

Hernández, 53 years old, has been missing for a year and three months. He is disabled, supposedly suffering from mental problems and depression, which increases the concern for his vulnerability among his family members.

Heydy Durán, sister of the missing person, stated that the family has been living a nightmare since they lost contact with him, despite having searched for him in different parts of the country without results. “We are desperate, we have not received any help or information from the authorities,” she complained. Durán deplored that his brother is among the more than two thousand people reported missing in the country, a problem that, according to his denunciation, does not receive the proper attention from the responsible institutions. Hernandez’s family asked anyone with information to contact the number (829)-508-4411.
