Puerto Plata.- Specialized canine units from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs Office (INL), of the United States Embassy, are joining this Tuesday the search operations for the girl Brianna Genao, three years old, who has been missing for 13 days in the community of Barrero, Imbert municipality, Puerto Plata province.
The integration of these international teams seeks to strengthen the search efforts given the lack of conclusive results in the process of locating the minor. International organizations provide trained canines for search and detection, which will be operating in coordination with the National Police and other security forces, expanding the exploration radius in previously intervened areas and in new points considered of interest for the investigation. You may be interested in: Authorities collect evidence during search for Brianna Genao in Imbert
Despite the efforts made, almost two weeks after the disappearance, the authorities have not been able to obtain certain clues that allow to establish if the girl is alive or if she died, which keeps the community and the whole country in suspense. Brianna Genao was last seen on December 31, 2025, while spending time with her family in Barrero. Since then, the case has generated deep social concern and constant calls from the community for the facts to be clarified and for search actions to be intensified.
