Government eases night curfews for Christmas until January 5th

Santo Domingo.- The Government announced a temporary relaxation of operating hours for restaurants, clubs, event centers, piano bars, and casinos for the Christmas season. The measure will be effective from Wednesday, December 10th, until Monday, January 5th, 2025.

Minister Faride Raful explained that, during this period, establishments will be able to operate from Sunday to Thursday until 3:00 in the morning, and on Fridays and Saturdays until 4:00 a.m. This provision modifies Resolution 001-2022 of the Ministries of Interior and Police and Tourism.

The grocery stores were excluded from the easing of restrictions and must maintain their usual closing time at midnight. Furthermore, the Government has arranged that on December 24th and 31st, as well as on the mornings of the 25th and January 1st, celebrations will have no time limit.
