Governor Rosa Santos gives an account and highlights management close to the communities of Santiago

Santiago.- Governor Rosa Santos presented her management report this Tuesday, where she affirmed that the institution has been "a government close to the people", highlighting actions in social support, community works and coordination of strategic projects with other State entities. The act of accountability brought together civil, military, police, and municipal authorities, as well as representatives from various social and business sectors. During the opening, the Deputy Press Director of the President, Lucildo Gómez, praised the Government's management and emphasized that Santiago is a national benchmark for the transparency and closeness of its governor.

“There hasn't been a tragedy in this province where Rosa Santos hasn't been present, bringing immediate solutions”, he expressed.

In his speech, Santos highlighted the accompaniment of the government in emergencies such as fires and floods, where food, belongings and support for the reconstruction of homes were delivered. He also mentioned the repair and construction of courts, clubs, community centers, churches and social spaces, many of them with direct participation from the communities. In the social area, he indicated that the Government has maintained permanent programs such as the delivery of backpacks at the beginning of the school year, medical assistance, support for people with disabilities and support for institutions that work with adolescents and pregnant mothers.

The social inclusion days, which include medical services, medications, wheelchairs, educational and pet operations, were highlighted as another of the initiatives that have directly impacted thousands of families. Likewise, he recalled the coordination with the central Government on strategic projects such as the sanitation of the Arroyo de Gurabo, the supervision of roads, the construction and renovation of hospitals, public lighting and the progress of the cable car and monorail in Santiago. The official reiterated that her management will continue to prioritize transparency and the responsible use of public resources, in line with President Luis Abinader's vision of combating corruption and guaranteeing timely services to the population.
