Court postpones Wander Franco trial until June 23

Puerto Plata.- The Collegiate Court of Puerto Plata postponed until next Monday, the 23rd of this month, at 9:00 in the morning, the presentation of the arguments and conclusions in the trial hearing that is being held against baseball player Wander Franco and Martha Vanessa Chavaller, mother of the minor whose alleged relationship with the player gave rise to the judicial process.

The postponement was decided after a long day in which formal aspects of the case were known without advancing to the final stage of the trial. Franco, who is facing charges of aggravated sexual abuse against a minor, appeared in court accompanied by his technical defense. For her part, Chavaller is accused of facilitating and covering up the relationship between her daughter and the baseball player, which is why she is also listed as a co-defendant in the case.
