Santo Domingo.- The Permanent Attention Office imposed coercive measures this Wednesday against Antonio Espaillat and Maribel Espaillat de Veras, owners of the collapsed Jet Set nightclub.
In that sense, Judge Fátima Veloz issued a coercive measure against the brothers accused of involuntary manslaughter, consisting of a travel ban, periodic reporting, and the payment of an economic guarantee of 50 million pesos through an insurance company for each one. The hearing for the request for a coercive measure against the accused lasted for more than 13 hours, a period of time in which the magistrate granted three recess periods, the longest being two hours.

It should be noted that more than 40 of the victims of the Jet Set tragedy reached financial agreements with the Espaillat family, according to the legal representative of the collapsed establishment, Miguel Valerio.
