According to investigations, Gálvez Marte, who is serving a 30-year prison sentence for aggravated homicide at the La Victoria Correction and Rehabilitation Center, allegedly acted as the mastermind of the assault, coordinating the criminal operation from prison and financing the purchase of the vehicle used in the robbery. Meanwhile, Reynoso Abreu is identified as a presumed participant in the sale of a stolen item and in the purchase of the vehicle used to commit the assault, in coordination with others involved in the case. Reynoso Abreu was arrested on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 11, 2026, as he was leaving the investigative building of the National District Attorney's Office, after being questioned again by the authorities. His defense had filed a habeas corpus appeal seeking his freedom; however, he withdrew it during its hearing in the Ninth Criminal Chamber of the National District. Authorities indicated that other alleged participants in the assault have been identified, but are fugitives, so search efforts continue for their capture and subsequent submission to justice.
