Las Galeras, Samaná. – The mayor of Las Galeras, Ana Reyes, informed the citizenry and the owners of livestock and stables that, as of this date, it is strictly forbidden to allow animals to roam on the public roads of the community.
The measure responds to the accidents recorded in recent months, which have generated great concern among the population and local authorities. The presence of loose animals has caused material damage, injuries, and high-risk situations for drivers and pedestrians.
With the aim of guaranteeing road safety, preventing incidents, and maintaining order on the streets, it is established that each owner will be responsible for keeping their livestock in suitable and properly fenced spaces.
