Santo Domingo. – After the inauguration of the overpass on the extension of 27 de Febrero with Isabel Aguiar, Mayor Francisco Peña announced that the city council has 100 million pesos for the asphalting and improvement of streets in different sectors of the municipality.
Peña highlighted that the new road infrastructure marks a turning point for the social, economic, and urban development of Santo Domingo Oeste, a project awaited for more than 35 years.

“This overpass solves a historical traffic problem in the Pintura area and opens up new growth opportunities for the municipality,” he said.
The mayor pointed out that with the funds available, a comprehensive program of street repair and construction will begin, prioritizing those communities that for years have lacked roads in good condition. "We are going to continue with specific streets and with the repair of all the potholes in the municipality. Santo Domingo Oeste is advancing and today it has everything," said Peña.
He also requested the collaboration of the National Institute of Transit and Terrestrial Transportation (INTRANT) to coordinate the traffic light system and organization of traffic in the area, in order to complement the road improvements that accompany this new stage of development in the municipality.
