“I want you to understand that this province is at its best moment… we must also look at the path that this government and the Tourism Cabinet have taken in this province,” the minister pointed out.
In that context, he underscored that this progress is the result of the vision of integral development promoted by the Tourism Cabinet and the central Government, also highlighting the positive impact of the Miches tourism project, which has transformed the region into a new hub of investment and opportunities. During his speech, Collado indicated that the work was executed with total transparency and with the supervision of various academic, religious, and business sectors, reaffirming the Government's commitment to the correct use of public funds. "Today I feel in my heart the satisfaction of duty fulfilled. 430 million pesos invested here in El Seibo, making this investment a reality. And that is really what we do, recover abandoned, slum-like public spaces, to put them to the use of the people." The official explained that the square will have six restaurants, a box with capacity for 56 people, rooms with universal accessibility, sales modules, warehouses, stables, corrals, dressing rooms, ticket office, information point, gift shop and a children's area, with the aim of turning it into a true cultural center for multiple activities. He also thanked the presence of mayors from different districts, national authorities, diplomatic representatives, media, and, especially, Leo Matos and Eduardo Martínez Lima, who donated the land where the work was built. He recalled that, following an agreement signed between the President of the Republic and the private sector, a hotel investment of one billion dollars was projected in Miches, a figure that already exceeds 1.154 billion dollars, with the installation of renowned chains such as Viva Wyndham, Hilton, Hyatt and the construction of the prestigious Four Seasons. The event concluded with the announcement of a free concert for the community, as part of the vision to transform the Multipurpose Cultural Plaza into a living, inclusive space at the service of the people of El Seibo.
