Santo Domingo.- The Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Mescyt), Franklin García Fermín, praised the new building of the Universidad del Caribe (Unicaribe), calling it "a very important step" for the consolidation and strengthening of higher education in the country.

García Fermín spoke of the relevance of this expansion, especially at a time when the Dominican Republic serves as the venue for the World Congress of Law, organized by the World Jurist Association, an event that brings together international figures such as the King of Spain and President Luis Abinader.
“We celebrate this initiative from the Mescyt, not only for the institutional growth it represents for Unicaribe, but also because it frames this university as one of the hosts of an unprecedented congress in our country,” said the official.

“It is a significant gesture in times when the world is shaken by conflicts such as those in Russia and Ukraine, Palestine and Israel, among others that threaten international stability,” he concluded.
