Santos highlighted that, unlike before, the Government's actions now also reach rural communities, promoting inclusion and well-being for the most needy families"That's what we seek with the Poverty Alleviation Route: that Dominican families can say with confidence and hope 'I can'. And for that to be possible, we need communities that get involved, that accompany and that are an active part of the change," Reyes affirmed.
“These cards are for the well-being of each of you. They are not to be traded, they are used responsibly for food and the home. Today Santiago receives this support thanks to an open, close and fair Government, which reaches every corner of the province.”, said Rosa Santos, governor of Santiago.
About the Path of Overcoming
With this new phase, the Poverty Overcoming Route reaches 276,951 impacted households, benefiting more than 830,000 people throughout the country between March 2024 and September 2025.
