Santo Domingo.– Agents of the Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM), attached to the Santo Domingo Norte Regional Directorate, captured José Ángel de la Cruz Rodríguez, alias “El Ojú”, who was actively sought for his alleged involvement in various criminal acts in the Los Guaricanos sector.
According to the official report, the detainee had arrest warrants against him No. 73-2025-EMES-10512, No. 530-2023-EMES-03350 and No. 973-2024-EMES-03818, for alleged violations of several articles of the Dominican Penal Code.You may be interested in: Police arrests 10 people in simultaneous operations in Santiago
Authorities indicated that De la Cruz Rodríguez was also wanted for his alleged participation in an event captured in an audiovisual disseminated on social media, where he is seen carrying a firearm in front of a citizen's residence, whom he allegedly threatened. According to preliminary investigations, the individual allegedly tried to evade the video surveillance cameras of the place in order not to be identified, in the company of another subject identified only as "El Fatal". The detainee will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office for the corresponding legal purposes. Meanwhile, investigation agents maintain operations in the area to find the whereabouts of the one nicknamed "El Fatal", identified as being linked to the same case.
