San Cristóbal. – The National Police seized 30 slot machines during a comprehensive intelligence and prevention operation carried out in several neighborhoods of the province. The action was executed by agents of the Criminal Intelligence Directorate and the Preventive Police, under the command of Colonel Ramón O. Hernández Peralta, regional director.
The deployment was carried out in compliance with the guidelines of Major General Ramón A. Guzmán Peralta, Director General of the institution, with the aim of combating illicit activities that affect tranquility and public order, especially the illegal use of betting equipment.
During the interventions, the agents acted at strategic points previously located by intelligence work, dismantling spaces where clandestine gambling operated and thus preventing the continued promotion of a practice that, according to the authorities, undermines the family economy and peaceful coexistence.

The seized machines were transferred to the headquarters of the Regional Directorate of the National Police for the corresponding legal purposes, while investigations continue to identify and bring the responsible parties to justice.
The institution reiterated its commitment to maintain an active presence in all sectors of San Cristóbal, guaranteeing order, citizen security, and compliance with the law.
